James Cameron’s 2009 Oscar-winning epic adventure Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time, returns to theaters. Avatar will be re-released ahead of the sequel Avatar: Way of the Water. In honor of Avatar’s re-release, the creators shared a new trailer for the original film. It features original characters exploring the world of Pandora. Cameron’s “Avatar” became the highest-grossing film of all time worldwide, grossing more than $2.8 billion. It was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, and won three for Best Cinematography, Best Production Design and Best Visual Effects, grossing $44 million worldwide.

The film will be re-released in Indian cinemas three months before the release of its sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water. The second part of the film will be released worldwide on December 16, 2022.
