New Delhi: Divorce can happen anytime between Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal United (JDU) in Bihar. The script is ready by JDU. Legislature party meeting is going on. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has also made up its mind to support Nitish (Nitish Kumar vs BJP) by doing maths. Today is going to be a very important day in the politics of Bihar. According to sources, CM Nitish himself will announce to break the alliance with BJP (Bihar Political Crisis). Now the question arises that what did the BJP, which made Nitish the CM, get in the last two years even after fewer seats? Is separation from JDU a good sign for BJP in the state? So let us understand that if the NDA alliance breaks in the state, then what will be the way forward for the BJP in the state.
Is this a good sign for BJP?
BJP had contested the 2020 assembly elections in alliance with JDU. It had won 74 seats while JDU got only 43 seats. But according to the promise made by the BJP before the election, Nitish Kumar was made the CM of the state. However, there was no consensus on this matter within the party. Many BJP leaders used to accept with a stoic voice that the party should have made someone from the BJP instead of Nitish. Not only this, there was resentment in the BJP that many important ministries had also gone to JDU. Many leaders of the state unit of the party used to say that it is better to stay in the opposition and prepare to contest the elections on their own.
Is sitting in opposition a win-win?
BJP has made preparations to sit in the opposition in the state. Party leaders are assuming that sitting in the opposition is a win-win deal for the party. BJP has also started preparations for this. BJP sources admitted that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has now reached a place from where it is difficult for him to turn back. The leaders of the party have now made preparations to go to the public with full force.
BJP in action
Amidst the news of Nitish switching sides, BJP has now started working on Plan B. State BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal has met Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad amidst the current political turmoil and discussed the strategy ahead. Significantly, Jaiswal had also attacked Nitish Kumar and JDU in recent times. In fact, the BJP had the apprehension of Nitish changing his side, so the party had made preparations for it internally.
BJP will go among the public
According to sources, the BJP is upset with the news of Nitish switching sides even after making all the sacrifices in the alliance. It is worth noting that a few days ago, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had said that the alliance of BJP with Nitish Kumar will be in 2024 and 2025 also. Despite this, due to the news of Nitish switching sides, BJP has now started preparing to change its strategy. Party leaders, on the condition of anonymity, said that now they will openly plan ahead. Will go to the public. It is worth mentioning that the leaders of the party have said many times that due to some schemes of the present government, they are facing public displeasure. If the alliance breaks, they will now be able to express their views openly.
