A customer ordered Briyani from Hyderabad through Zomato Interstate Service. However, he received a small box of Saran on the spot. Zomato recently launched a city-to-city grocery delivery service that allows customers to order specialty groceries from different cities.
Sharing a photo of Saran he received from Zomato, a Twitter user named Prateek Kanwal wrote: “Ordered Chicken Biryani from Shadab Hotel via @zomato Interstate Legend Service and all I got was a small box Saran. @deepigoyal This seems like a good idea but my dinner plans are up in the air. Now you owe me a biryani in Gurgaon!”

He even tagged Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal to share his experience and even tried asking a Briyani in Gurgaon. However, he is bullish on new ideas for delivering urban specialties to the rest of the country.
What is Zomato Intercity Grocery Delivery?
Zomato launched the service to let customers order specialty urban dishes from other cities. For example, users residing in Delhi can order the famous Briyani from Hyderabad or Pyaz ki Kachori from Jaipur through the Zomato app.
