Heat Warning issued for region of Waterloo; heat wave disrupts travel, health services

Much of Ontario, including the city of Toronto, is under a heat warning, which one expert said could be the start of a “warmer than usual” summer.

Temperatures in Toronto are expected to hit around 40C for the next two days after using Humidex, with little relief overnight.

Hot and humid conditions are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Daily highs of nearly 31C are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Humidex readings in the 30s.
