The report lists the top 10 players in the space and the factors that will be useful to them in the second quarter of 2022. The report revealed the names of the top-performing smartwatches and what worked for those companies this quarter. Below is a list of the top 10 smartwatch brands in the country.
Fire-Boltt: Offline business and affordable pricing works
Fire-Boltt is the market leader in Q2 2022. The company has managed to secure the top spot by increasing its offline presence and launching wearables at affordable prices.
Noise: Bluetooth calling smartwatch works
Noise came in second with a 26% market share, and the company achieved 293% year-over-year growth. The company is doing well with its new smartwatch with Bluetooth calling.
Boot: Xtend and Strom are the company’s best-selling smartwatches
Boat grew 199% year-over-year, ranking third. Storm and Xtend remain the most popular smartwatches. Two of the company’s sub-brands — Tagg and Defy — also saw growth in the quarter.
Samsung: Galaxy Watch 4 continues to dominate high-end Android sales
Samsung grew 295% year over year in the second quarter of 2022. The company’s growth this quarter can be attributed to its line of smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 4, launched last year. Promotional deals on the Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone have also helped the company gain a foothold nearby.
Dizo: Dizo Watch 2 Sports is valid
Dizo, a brand owned by Realme Techlife, entered the top five for the first time last quarter, and the company conquered the fifth sport with a rather lackluster quarter. The Dizo Watch 2 Sports is the brand’s top model of the season.
Titan: Its Fastrack sub-brand works
Titan made the list with its Fastrack sub-brand. The company has a 2% market share. It leverages its existing brand equity and extensive distribution network across the country.
Realme: Effective online and offline marketing
Realme grew 76% year-over-year in the quarter, ranking 7th. The company also launched its first smartwatch, the Watch R100, this quarter, which supports Bluetooth calling. The company has also maintained a nearly unified presence across all channels.
Apple: Still the leader in high-end smartwatches
Apple grew 197% in the second quarter of 2022, with the Watch Series 7 continuing to be the best-selling product. With the upcoming Watch Series 8, the company is expected to gain market share in the third quarter of 2022
Pebble: aims to expand its distribution
Pebble grew 267% in the second quarter of 2022. It was acquired by Mensa Brands during the quarter to expand its distribution and further accelerate its growth.
OnePlus: Leading the sub-Rs 15,000 segment
OnePlus is number one in the sub-Rs 15,000 price range due to the popularity of the OnePlus Watch.
