Due to the increase in the number of online ticket bookings after the Kovid epidemic, Railways has now provided a special facility for those booking tickets through IRCTC.

If you don’t link Aadhaar card, Railways has given special facility to the customers. If an IRCTC user links his account with Aadhaar, he can book 24 train tickets in a month, if not linked, he can book only 12 train tickets. Earlier booking of only 12 tickets after Aadhaar linking and 6 train tickets without Aadhaar was allowed.
How to link IRCTC?
First go to IRCTC app or website to link Aadhaar with IRCTC account.
Now go to My Account option and click on Link your Aadhaar option.
After this you have to provide information about Aadhaar Card Number and Virtual ID.
Now go to the checkbox and click on Send OTP and enter the OTP on the registered mobile after receiving it.
After entering the OTP click on verify button and complete the verification process.
After all information is updated your Aadhaar will be linked to IRCTC account.
You will be confirmed via email and SMS, after which you can book tickets from IRCTC website or app
