Manchester United have agreed a £57m deal for Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez

Manchester United is going to make another big player a part of its squad before the new season of the English Premier League. United has confirmed a deal of 550 crores with Ajax defender Lisandro Martinez. The deal will be signed after Martinez’s medical examination and visa process.

Manchester United paid a guaranteed €57m (£48.5m) for the Argentina international defender, with the two clubs agreeing to pay an additional €10m (£8.5m) in add-ons. The move will reunite Martinez at Old Trafford with former Ajax manager Eric Ten Haag, who signed him in 2019.

Manchester United manager Eric Ten Hogg has spent a long time with Martinez in the past. In fact, Eric Ten Hogg was the coach of Ajax before joining the Manchester club. Here he coached Martinez for three years. Martinez came to Ajax in May 2019 from Defensa y Justicia Football Club in Argentina. Martinez has played a total of 118 matches for this Dutch club in three seasons so far.
