New Delhi: With the arrival of 16,167 new cases of Kovid-19 in India in a day, the total number of infection cases in the country increased to 4,41,61,899. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment increased from 1,34,933 to 1,35,510. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday, the number of people who lost their lives to Kovid-19 in India has increased to 5,26,730. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment is 0.31 percent of the total cases of infection, while the national rate of recovery from Kovid-19 has been recorded at 98.50 percent. According to the data, there has been an increase of 577 in the number of patients under treatment for Kovid-19 in the country in the last 24 hours.
Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of infected people in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November.
On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it crossed 30 million. On January 25 this year, the total cases of infection had crossed four crores.
