MP Weather Update: Heavy rain warning in many parts of MP, Bhopal cloudy

Bhopal: Heavy rain is going to start in most parts of MP from today. After the rain stopped, the humidity has increased in many cities of the state including the capital Bhopal. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a low pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal off the Odisha-West Bengal coasts. The marked low pressure area is very likely to intensify further and concentrate into a depression during the next 48 hours. Along with this, it is very likely to move west-northwestwards across Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

Senior Meteorological Scientist Shailendra Nayak has said that the associated cyclonic circulation is present in the southwest with elevation up to 7.6 km above mean sea level related to the system. This weather system is in the form of a depression during the next 48 hours. He said that it is very likely to become concentrated and move west-northwestwards and pass through Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

He said that the Monsoon Trough is active and lies to the south of its normal position. It is likely to remain in this condition for the next 4-5 days. Meteorologist said that at present the monsoon trough is now over the sea level in Jaisalmer, Kota, Raisen, Seoni, Durg, remote Odisha. He has said that due to these weather conditions, there is a possibility of heavy rain and lightning at many places in eastern Madhya Pradesh on August 8 and 11, 2022 and western Madhya Pradesh on August 08, 2022. Also, there is a possibility of thunderstorm accompanied by thunderstorms.

At the same time, there is a possibility of rain in western Madhya Pradesh on the next 09 and 11 August 2022. Along with this, there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall at isolated places in East Madhya Pradesh on 9th and 10th August, 2022. The humidity in the capital Bhopal had increased significantly on Sunday. The maximum temperature recorded during the day was 30.8 degree Celsius. At the same time, the minimum temperature is 25 degree Celsius. According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, today the maximum temperature is expected to be 31 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 24 degrees Celsius.
