The hilarious trailer notes, “If Vin Diesel and The Rock could, American movies could be 10 times better” Ram Charan and Jr. NTR’s Naacho Naacho dance moves. However, this is followed by a clip of Vin Diesel saying, “I don’t think so.”
It also shows how Western films use visual effects to cut costs, while Indian filmmakers make their actors “do the impossible”. It says it brings action movie production a level of fun that Western moviegoers haven’t had in a while. There are also claims that the film is spreading hatred of Britons and why Netflix allowed it to happen in the first place. “Seriously, Englishman,” it said.
One fan commented on the Honest trailer: “Hahaha, this is awesome! The DBZ quote is crazy. I love this fresh take on Indian cinema. The best part is that it’s funny and not racially insensitive.” Great nerd!” Another said: “That woman has a sharp whip right between her legs, so pretty!! But seriously, RRR is a perfect 10!” Another commented, ” Getting an honest trailer is really more important than winning an Oscar. Bow RRR!” One comment also read: “We need more of this. Fuck any Indian-American comic book character, give me more. Diversity straight from the source.” One viewer also wrote, “The phrase ‘hot and wet together’ made me stop and do Roflol. Great movie and dance scenes are epic no matter what.”
Many are happy that RRR finally has an honest trailer. One fan responded: “I love that they actually made an honest trailer for it. I actually saw RRR and they put some RRR in the candid trailer for Ms Marvel and it was well worth it. The movie is one of the best action movies I’ve ever seen.”
Previously, Marvel’s Joe Russo said he watched RRR on streaming platform Netflix and thought it was a great story about brotherhood. “It’s so popular right now because of Netflix, and RRR is a great movie. I think it’s a really good epic, (with) beautiful and strong themes, great visuals and a very good story about brotherhood. Strong story,” Joe told PTI.
