New Delhi:New Zealand cricket team’s fast bowler Trent Boult will now be rarely seen playing for his country. Bolt’s central contract is over. Bolt is currently one of the most successful bowlers in the world. He has taken 548 wickets in international cricket. In such a situation, many questions are swirling on why he suddenly considered ending the central contract. In fact, due to the ongoing cricket, Bolt no longer wants to fully participate in the International. However, he will continue to play in domestic league cricket. Trent Boult now wants him to spend as much time as possible with his family.
After Bolt’s central contract is over, now when he is available, then only he can be selected in the team. Boult is currently on the West Indies tour for a limited overs series. In this format too, he is returning to the team after a long time.
On Trent Boult’s decision, New Zealand Cricket CEO David White said, ‘Boult is honest about his game and we respect his decision. It is definitely that Bolt’s contract will not play the team but we wish him all the best for the future ahead.
At the same time, Bolt has also given his reaction on this. Bolt said, ‘It is a matter of pride for me to play cricket for the country. It was a dream that came true. I have been playing continuously for the last 12 years but I want to spend time with my family now. I have taken this decision for my wife and 3 kids. My family is my first priority and they need me now.
He said, ‘I have taken a conscious decision to exclude myself from the central contract. If I am not there, it will definitely affect the team. However, a fast bowler’s career is also not very long. In such a situation, it is the right time that I now complete my plans towards my different step.
Trent Boult has played 78 Tests, 93 ODIs and 44 T20 matches for New Zealand. In Test cricket, Bolt has taken 317 wickets for New Zealand. At the same time, he has 169 wickets in ODIs while he has taken 62 wickets in T20.
